Owner & Founder

A leader in organizational change with expertise in entrepreneurship, business development, project management, stakeholder engagement, strategy design, and collaborative problem-solving, Sara brings decades of innovation and pragmatism to organizations and leaders in all sectors of society. With her high-performing boutique consulting firm, Flitner Strategies, Inc., she focuses on multi-party stakeholder engagement, workplace resilience, and sustainable leadership. Her experience includes founding two mission-driven businesses – one as a private sector consultant to business and government initiatives and one as a private nonprofit delivering science-based mindfulness and resilience strategies to communities. She also has extensive experience in public policy, both as a chief strategist for high-profile policy initiatives and as a public servant (Mayor of Jackson, WY, 2015-1016).

“Utilizing my own experiences with systems and change theory, along with a deep familiarity and personal commitment to neuroscience, mindfulness, and emotional literacy, I am most at home tackling challenges at both the individual and systems level simultaneously,” she says. “Throughout my career I have developed a reputation for helping organizations develop durable strategies for stakeholder relationship management, stronger impact, and resilience in the face of change.”

A native of Shell, Wyoming, and graduate of University of Wyoming, Sara is passionate about and deeply connected to her home state and the wellbeing of its economy, its wildlife, and her fellow citizens.
